Miura Black Irons

Forging that Feels Different

The performance of every iron is determined by features such as weight, size, center of gravity, and bounce, meaning that constructing a consistent and reliable club head is paramount. Although it is impossible to create a club head that is perfect, Miura strives to achieve weight tolerances of =/- .5 g, a number that exceeds current industry standards. But creating an exceptional standalone iron is not the goal during the design process.

MB-101 QPQ Irons

The MB-101 incorporates the best characteristics of early Miura designs and models. The subtle refinements to the sole allow the club to travel effortlessly through the turf. The sole width and face thickness have been optimized (from our MB-001) allowing for heightened feel and feedback.

This product has the highest quality black finish Miura has ever produced.  The most important factor in this finish was to preserve the renowned feel and performance of a Miura iron.  This Black QPQ finish is resistant to corrosion and has high wear resistance.  All clubs will show some wear over time, but with a black finish this may be more visible after long term use.

TC-201 QPQ Irons

The TC-201 offers the performance of a muscle back with the increased forgiveness of a cavity back. The progressive weighting in the sole provides a lower center of gravity in the long irons for added height and higher trajectory on longer shots. Slightly changing to a higher center of gravity in the short irons creates a lower trajectory and more control on shorter shots. Constant weight towards the heel and toe helps with off center shots. The sole design contributes significantly to the playability and forgiveness of this club and the minimal offset paired with the top line at address inspires confidence. The TC-201 is a player’s iron that acts as a replacement for the CB-1008 and perfectly complements the MB-101.

Miura’s Black QPQ finish is the product of a careful, labor-intensive process that works the pigment into the top layer of steel in the golf club head. The resulting finish has an appealing depth, is durable and retains the feel and performance of a Miura iron. Over time, the Black QPQ will wear into a patina, especially on the parts of the club that contact the ball and the ground — that is, the face and the sole. This finishing process does not affect the quality or durability of the club. But of course, it does change the appearance over time.

K-Grind 2.0 QPQ Wedge

The Miura 1957 K-Grind Wedge is one of the most recognizable wedges ever made with their signature “knuckles” or fluted sole. Specifically designed to reduce twisting from rough and glide through the sand. The 2.0 features a more modern sole design with increased bounce and roll and the grooves have been milled to provide increased spin on intermediate and full shots.

Tour Wedge High Bounce QPQ

The tour inspired head shape confidently aligns the golfer allowing for pinpoint accuracy. The Tour Wedge HB boasts a wider sole that tapers from toe to heel. This design allows for a more effective bounce along the middle of the sole. The added C Grind (heel and toe relief) and camber (front to back relief) increases playability and forgiveness.
